WHAT ARE ALCHEMY AND SPAGYRICS?
Since many followers of this blog are English-speaking, I will provide a summary of the blog on this page.
Alchemy (from the Arabic Al-kimiya, sacred chemistry), formerly from the Egyptian Khem (fire, or black earth of the Nile, according to others) and the Greek Chemeia (art of extracting medicinal juices), among other etymological origins, is the elevation of fallen Nature in this world toward its higher state of Being. To transmute means to change toward the full state of faculties, the maximum splendor, or the essence it brought into the world, be it metal, mineral, vegetable, or human.
The Alchemist imitates Creation but directs it through the Spirit toward its higher nature, through Ora et labora (pray and work) and Hermetic philosophy (reflected in the Emerald Tablet) and simple Pythagorean philosophy. Through this means, the most complete and potent medicines are obtained, affecting the Being in its spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects. If they are extracted from the Mineral Kingdom, it is Alchemy proper; if they are extracted from the Plant Kingdom, it is called Spagyrics, generally speaking. Both are Alchemy because they are based on the same Philosophy, but not in its practical application, in which they are completely different. Here, Philosophy (love of Wisdom) is understood in a practical, not speculative, way, in which the Alchemical Artist composes their own works with their own colors, just as in Teaching; this is why Alchemy is an Art.
Within Alchemy, specifically the alchemy of minerals, there are several paths to reach the same or a similar goal: the Philosopher's Stone, which is the ultimate expression of the Quintessence or Fifth Element of Nature, called Universal Medicine by Fulcanelli and Elixir of Life by Paracelsus. The concept of the Philosopher's Stone comes from Hermes Trismegistus, the greatest master of alchemy in the West, who stated in the Emerald Tablet, "its power and virtue will be complete if it is transformed into Earth." This concept was later developed by Greek and Hellenistic philosophers, but in medieval Europe it was widely misinterpreted, to suit the tastes of kings and the powerful.
Basically, according to most Hermetic philosophers, the following are the methods:
-Universal wet path. These methods employ a liquid throughout their entire process, that is, through continuous distillations, until the perfect body is achieved, balanced in its four elements and three philosophical principles, from duality to the One, the receptacle of all celestial and terrestrial virtues.
-Mixed or special methods. These employ both wet and dry components, although there are many different variations. This is no longer nature's simple method; sometimes strong acids and high temperatures are used.
-Dry methods. These use practically no liquid during their preparation, generally employing high temperatures and, occasionally, strong acids.
When I was a child, my father, Simon H., experimented with several methods until he settled exclusively on the universal wet method, because it leads to the best medicine—the most natural and endowed with special qualities. Within this medicine, there are also variations, some more affordable and others more expensive.
The path to reaching the Universal Medicine or Philosopher's Stone is called the Great Work. The Great Work can be divided into planetary regimes, that is, governed by a certain planet, depending on its color or state of energies, since there is a direct correspondence between "above and below," as Hermes said, that is, the soul of all that is created descended to this world where it is imprisoned by raw matter, the path of Alchemy is to reverse this fall by passing again through each of our planetary brothers until reaching the Sun, which symbolically is the Essence of our soul, the State in which it shines with its own light and is at the maximum of its virtues and potentialities.
Thanks to my practice and dedication since 2012, I have come to know everything it can cure, including the correct dosages, methods of administration, and precautions. The alchemical elixir "Sol Pater," traditionally called the "elixir of life," "universal medicine," or "elixir of potable gold," has cured or improved more than 20 types of ailments since its rediscovery in 1983, thanks to the personal follow-ups we have conducted:
- Wounds and cuts.
- Warts.
- Herpes and boils.
- Eczema.
- Psoriasis.
- Lupus erythematosus.
- Hemorrhoids.
- Conjunctivitis.
- Cataracts.
- Otitis.
- Soothes insect bites.
- Depression, anxiety, clarity, vitality, calm, mental stability, creativity, self-confidence...
- Acute and chronic pain.
- Cystic fibrosis.
- Liver colic in the common bile duct.
- Kidney stones.
- Gastritis.
- Digestive ulcers.
- Lowers prostate cancer markers (PSA).
- Urinary tract and gynecological infections.
- Regulates general bodily functions (hypertension, blood sugar, cholesterol).
- Improvement in multiple sclerosis and diabetes.
- Improved vision.
- Improvement in Crohn's disease.
- Some cancerous processes.
Which I have compiled in numerous testimonies gathered over the years and recently published in my book “Alchemy: Divine Philosophy”:
Spagyrics, from the Greek “spao” and “ageiro,” means to separate and reunite; that is, to separate, through distillation, several times, the salt, sulfur, and mercury components of the plant (philosophical elements), in order to reunite this essential information of the plant in a more perfected form, a carrier of Quintessence, which can be a liquid (elixir, essence), ointments, or a solid stone. It is the Alchemy of plants, which also produces the most complete medicines by centering body, soul, and spirit, since we rectify and elevate the plant to its higher essence, which is what we use to heal ourselves.
I am also gathering all possible testimonies of use and healing with spagyric elixirs, to later compile them in another book on Hermetic Medicine, given the success of my current book, Alchemy: Divine Philosophy.
Throughout history, various distillation systems have been used, with the Soxhlet currently being the most widely used as a professional distillation apparatus.

Within Spagyrics, one can also consider the distillation of essential oils, for use as is in aromatherapy, ingestion as some of the most potent and pure herbal medicines, baths, ointments, or for preparing spagyric essences. Currently, the Clavenger is the device most commonly used to distill essential oils.

One can also prepare the Vegetable Stone, which, in its preparation, is very similar to the Mineral Stone in its succession of regimes, colors, and energies, although it has a more muted color. It also produces potent medicines, using a small portion of the dry stone or in elixir form, such as the mineral elixir or simple spagyric elixirs.

Personally, I have dedicated myself to all of this my entire life, experiencing it as a child with my father, Simon H., especially since 2012, and lately with increasing intensity through theoretical and practical courses throughout Spain and France.
